Day 1: Kampala-Kibale National Park
Leave Kampala after breakfast for the fascinating drive through papyrus swamps and thick jungle of the Nile Delta to Kibale National Park just under the Ruwenzori Mountains. Afternoon guided walk in the crater lakes area. Meals and overnight at Kyaninga Lodge/Ndali (Lodge facility) or Primate Lodge (Mid lodge) or Rweteera safari park (Budget facility) Meal plan: Half board
Day 2: Chimpanzee Trekking Kibale
In the morning you will have breakfast to transfer to KibaleHeadquarters for briefing before setting off for a forest walk in search for chimpanzees. The forest walk will be guided to provide information not only on chimpanzees and primates but also on small organisms making it interesting. The walk will reward you with other primates like Grey cheeked Mangabeys, Colobus monkeys, Red-tailed monkeys, phoestes, and butterflies. After tracking the chimps in the afternoon you will go for a nature walk to the Bigodi swamp- to see unique flora and fauna. Meals and overnight at Kyaninga Lodge/Ndali (Lodge facility) or Primate Lodge (Mid lodge) or Rweteera safari park (Budget facility) Meal plan: Half board
Day 3: Kibale National Park to Queen Elizabeth Park
Start with Lake Nyabikele& Lake Nkuruba. Lake Nkuruba Nature Reserve is well known as the best place to photograph colobus monkeys in Uganda. The dense tropical forest is home to four species of monkeys including vervet monkeys, red tailed monkeys, black & white colobus and the endangered Uganda red colobus. Afternoon drive south into Queen Elizabeth National Park, sightseeing and game viewing enroute. Dinner and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge (Lodge Facility) or Enganzi Safari Lodge or Simba Safari Camp (Budget Facility). Meal Plan:Full board
Day 4: Queen Elizabeth Park
Dawn game drive in Uganda's best park, where all the big game can be seen in abundance. Famous for elephant and kob, expect to see some rarer animals like giant forest hog. There are 638 recorded bird species in the park! After lunch, enjoy a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel which connects Lakes Edward and George, for large numbers of buffalo and hippo. Dinner and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge (Lodge Facility) or Enganzi Safari Lodge or Simba Safari Camp (Budget Facility). Meal Plan: Full board
Day 5: Queen Elizabeth-Bwindi Forest
Today's drive and visit to the bat Cave close to Maramagambo forest. Proceed and make a game drive at Ishasha on your way to Bwindi in search of the tree climbing lions. Later, drive to Bwindi via the beautiful scenery of the tea plantations. This is the lushest highland rain forest on earth, filled with primates and exotic birds. Diner and overnight at Buhoma Lodge or Mahogany springs (High end), Engagi lodge/Silverback Lodge (Mid-range end), Buhoma Community Bandas (Low end). Meal plan: Full-Board.
Day 6: Bwindi Gorilla Trekking
Early morning cup of coffee, then prepare for the briefing from the Uganda wildlife officials and thereafter enter the jungle to search the shy mountain gorillas and enjoy their life style in their real home. After meeting the gorillas, you can sit around these great apes for a whole hour gazing into their big round eyes. On a gorilla safari, a reasonable degree of fitness is required as well as walking shoes, packed food and mineral water, insect repellent, sun screen and hut. The gorilla tracking experience takes half or whole day depending on the movement of these primates. After this gorilla tracking experience in Uganda you will have informative memorable experience in life. In the afternoon ready for a village foot safari to explore the indigenous local life with a taste of the traditional performance. Diner and overnight at Buhoma Lodge or Mahogany springs (High end), Engagi lodge/Silverback Lodge (Mid-range end), Buhoma Community Bandas (Low end). Meal plan: Full-Board.
Day 7:Bwindi to Kampala/Entebbe
Return to Kampala, then Entebbe via Mbarara to Igongo Cultural Village to explore the life style and the culture of the Ankole and Bahima people. With lunch enroute and stop over at Equator Uganda before being transferred back to Kampala or Entebbe your evening departure flight back home.
